With private parking to secure valuables, families can enjoy a fun activity without worry.

PIGEON POINT (MOST POPULAR)

Must Book at Least 2 People.

Price: Adult – $113.33 (Ages 13+) / Youth – $101.88 (Ages 10-12)

Age Requirement: Ages 10+

Meeting Place: Bigfoot Rafting 31221 State Highway 299 Junction City, CA 96048

Put in: Bagdad or Lime Point depending on flows

Take out: Bigfoot Rafting’s private river access

Difficulty: Class III+

Length: 7-10 miles

Available: Year round

This trip is great for first timers or seasoned veterans, making it a customer favorite. Everyone grabs a paddle and working together we make our way through numerous class II and III rapids such as The Slot, Z- drop, Hell’s Hole, Pinball, and Fishtail. We can provide an inflatable kayak to the more daring paddler. At the end of the trip you will have a chance to view/ purchase photos of your group plunging through the notorious Hell’s Hole rapid!


FRENCH CREEK

Must Book at Least 2 People.

Price: Adult – $113.33 (Ages 13+) / Youth – $101.88 (Ages 4-12)

Difficulty: Class II

Often overlooked due to its close proximity to the Pigeon Point run, the French Creek run is becoming a popular trip in its own right.  Peppered with numerous class II rapids, this section is perfect for young children, adults who want to relax, and  those who want to try an inflatable kayak for the first time.


CEDAR FLAT

Must Book at Least 4 People.

Price: Adult – $124.78 (Ages 13+) / Youth – $113.33 (Ages 4-12)

Age Requirement: 4 years old and above

Put In: Hayden Flat Campground

Take Out: Cedar Flat River Access

Difficulty: Class II

Length: 7-9 Miles

This is a great class II section of water with multiple long, splashy rapids. There are gorgeous deep pools perfect for swimming and playing in the water during break times and it dives below the highway more than other sections giving you a more wilderness feel with less highway noise. A wonderful way to spend a nice relaxing day with the family!


HAWKINS BAR

Must Book at Least 6 People 

Price: Adult – $136.23 (Ages 13+) / Youth – $124.78 (Ages 4-12)

Age Requirement: 4+

Meeting Place: Salyer Store Salyer, CA

Put in: Hawkins Bar River Access

Take out: Salyer Bridge (1/8 mile uphill hike to shuttle vehicle while carrying the kayaks)

Difficulty: Class II

Length: 7 miles

Available: June, July, August, September

Start Time: Full Day- 9:00 am

For this trip inflatable kayaks are the order of the day. Designed especially for the free spirit who wants to experience the river on a more personal level, but under the close supervision of one of our highly qualified guides. A perfect trip for first time kayakers. You will receive one-on-one instruction as you navigate multiple class I and II rapids. A great way to see the river from a brand new perspective!


TISH TANG

Must Book at Least 8 People.

This wonderfully relaxing and incredibly scenic trip boasts stunning vertical canyon walls and towering fir forests. Meandering away from civilization, encounters in the wilderness increase with sightings of turtles, merganser ducks, otters, great blue herons, ospreys, and bald eagles. With warm waters and deep pools this section of the Trinity is superb for swimming as you float downstream alongside the raft. Families with younger children, first timers, and senior citizens find this stretch to be a great intro to the world of paddle sports.


WEITCHPEC GORGE

Must Book at Least 8 People.

Price: Adult – $159.12 (Ages 13+) / Youth – $147.67 (Ages 10-12)

Age Requirement: 10+

Meeting Place: Tish Tang River Access

Put In: Tish Tang River Access

Take Out: Weitchpec River Access (1/8 mile uphill hike to shuttle vehicle while carrying the raft)

Difficulty: Class II/III

Length: 8 miles

Available: June, July, August

Start Time: 9:00 am

This is one of the Trinity River’s hidden gems. The river winds through a magnificent gorge of slate rock far below the highway. With very few visitors this section is the ultimate in secluded wilderness adventure. Enjoy the best scenery as you go through the multiple class II rapids and end the day with the famous Smoker’s Falls class III rapid.


SOUTH FORK 3 BEARS

Must Book at Least 8 People

Price: Adult – $170.57 (Ages 18+ | Trip Dependent on Weather/River Conditions )

Welcome to Bigfoot’s backyard! For all you class III rafters who want to step it up a notch, The Three Bears is a remote class IV run that will have you at the edge of your seat. Enjoy the unbeatable scenery as we charge over rapids such as Papa Bear, Mama Bear, Baby Bear, and of course Goldilocks! Previous rafting experience required, must be at least 18 years of age. This free flowing tributary is only available in the spring, making this spectacular section a true treat for those who can make it.


CAL SALMON BUTLER LEDGE

Must Book at Least 8 People.

Price: Adult – $170.57 (Ages 18+ | Trip Dependent on Weather/River Conditions )

Difficulty: Class IV

Nestled in the Marble Mountain Wilderness, the Cal Salmon is one of our area’s best kept secrets. Strewn with boulders and some serious attitude, this stretch offers a few of the most exciting class IV rapids in Northern California. Aside from the heart pounding rapids, this river also offers breathtaking scenery and frequent wild life sightings including black bears, deer, and bald eagles. Previous class III rafting experience required, must be at least 18 years of age. Keep in mind that this is a free flowing river and can only be rafted at optimal water flows, usually in the spring.

Class I: Easy
Slow moving flat water with a few small riffles and waves.

Class II: Novice/Beginner
Faster moving water with medium sized waves and a few easily avoided obstructions. Some maneuvering required.

Class III: Intermediate
Fast moving water with high irregular waves, narrow passages, holes, strong currents, and obstructions. Precise maneuvering required.

Class IV: Advanced
Long intense rapids with unavoidable waves and holes. Constricted passages require fast maneuvers under pressure. Scouting is necessary the first time and highly recommended after that as well.

Class V: Expert
Extremely long, difficult, and violent rapids that must be scouted every time. Rescue is often difficult so these sections are only recommended for highly experienced boaters in good physical condition.
